CARE INSTRUCTIONS

To clean a 100% cotton denim hat, spot clean with a mild detergent and a damp cloth, or gently hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, avoiding harsh chemicals or bleach, and then air dry. 

1. Spot Cleaning:
  • Prepare: Fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a few drops of mild laundry detergent (no bleach).
  • Soak: Submerge the hat and gently agitate the water to create suds.
  • Soak Time: Let the hat soak for 5-10 minutes.
  • Rinse: Rinse thoroughly under cool water to remove any detergent residue.
  • Drying: Pat the hat dry with a clean towel and allow it to air dry completely, avoiding direct sunlight or heat. 
     

 

2. Hand Washing:
  • Prepare: Fill a sink or basin with cool water and add a small amount of mild laundry detergent.
  • Soak: Submerge the hat and gently agitate the water to create suds.
  • Soak Time: Let the hat soak for 10-15 minutes.
  • Rinse: Rinse thoroughly under cool water to remove any detergent residue.
  • Drying: Pat the hat dry with a clean towel and allow it to air dry completely, avoiding direct sunlight or heat. 
     
Tips for Washing Denim Hats:
  • Avoid harsh chemicals and bleach: These can damage the fabric and color. 
     
  • Use a gentle detergent: Choose a detergent specifically designed for delicate fabrics or denim. 
     
  • Don't machine wash: Unless the hat is specifically designed for machine washing, hand washing is recommended to prevent damage. 
     
  • Air dry: Avoid using a dryer, as the heat can cause the hat to shrink or warp. 
     
  • Spot clean stains: If you have any stubborn stains, spot clean them with a mild detergent and a damp cloth before washing the entire hat. 
     
  • Sunlight can fade colors: Avoid exposing the hat to direct sunlight for extended periods, especially when it's wet.
